Section 01

1. An inclusive space for everyone

LBF welcomes all individuals regardless of age, gender, identity, orientation, origin, physical appearance, beliefs or abilities. We value diversity and strive to build a community where everyone feels seen, respected and appreciated.

Section 02

2. Respect for the teaching framework

Our teaching method is structured to ensure real progression. By joining our classes, you agree to:

  • Follow the instructions of the teachers.
  • Respect the structure and progression of the class.
  • Avoid teaching or correcting others unless asked by a teacher.
  • Practice the technique required during the exercises.

Section 03

3. Level placement

Placement into A0, A1 or A2 is determined by the teachers. This decision is not negotiable and aims to:

  • Support your progression.
  • Maintain consistent quality within the group.
  • Prevent frustration or injuries related to an unsuitable level.

Section 04

4. Gender-neutral dance roles

Dance roles are not determined by gender. Everyone is free to choose whether they want to dance as a leader or a follower.

Section 06

6. Respect toward other students and the teachers

Respect is essential to maintain a healthy learning environment. Participants commit to:

  • Treat all students with respect, regardless of their level.
  • Respect the teachers and their teaching methods.
  • Understand that each person progresses at their own rhythm.
  • Contribute to a positive, motivating and supportive atmosphere.
  • Avoid toxic behaviour, negative comments or disruptive actions.

Section 07

7. Zero tolerance for harassment or discrimination

Any form of discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour is strictly prohibited. This includes:

  • Racism.
  • Sexism.
  • Homophobia.
  • Transphobia.
  • Physical or verbal harassment.

Any incident must be reported immediately to a teacher or to the school at info@lbfdanceschool.lu.

Section 08

8. Classroom behaviour

  • No toxic or negative comments.
  • No discussions while teachers are explaining.
  • Proper hygiene is mandatory.

Disruptive behaviour may result in a warning or exclusion.

Section 09

9. Attendance and commitment

  • Arrive on time.
  • In case of absence, notify your teachers or write to us at info@lbfdanceschool.lu.
  • No spot is guaranteed without payment.
  • The group progresses together, not individually.

Section 10

10. Safety and substance use

  • The use of drugs before or during class is strictly prohibited.
  • Do not drink alcohol before dance classes.

Section 13

13. Partner rotation

Partner rotation is mandatory at every level (A0, A1 and A2), including for students who register as a couple. It is an essential part of the LBF teaching method.

Bachata is a social dance: dancing with different partners develops connection, adaptability and technique, and keeps every group balanced.

Exceptions are possible only for medical or physical reasons. Please speak with the teachers before the class: each request is evaluated individually and must be approved by the teachers.

Students who refuse to rotate may be refused access to the class.

Section 14

14. Certificate of participation and attendance requirement

Students must attend at least 75% of classes during the trimester to be eligible for a certificate of participation.

The certificate recognises attendance and commitment. It does not automatically guarantee progression to the next level, which remains subject to teacher approval.

Our goal is to build a motivated and engaged group where students progress together. Regular attendance is essential to maintain group quality and ensure real learning.

Joining occasionally or attending only a few classes is not aligned with our teaching approach. By registering, you commit to actively participating in the full learning process.

Section 15

15. LBF events and community guidelines

LBF events are built on respect, transparency and community spirit. All participants are expected to respect:

  • Other dancers.
  • Teachers.
  • Organizers.
  • Volunteers.
  • The LBF community.

The following behaviours are not permitted:

  • Harassment or inappropriate conduct.
  • Misrepresenting yourself as a member of the LBF team.
  • Using LBF events to promote external events, communities, services or businesses without prior approval from the organisers.
  • Collecting contact information on behalf of external projects without prior approval from the organisers.
  • Any action that may create confusion regarding the ownership, organisation or official partners of an LBF event.

LBF reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any participant whose behaviour is considered harmful, disrespectful or contrary to the values of the community.
