Our Philosophy & Placement Policy

At LBF Dance School, we’re committed to more than just teaching dance
we’re here to build a community and help every student grow.

We’ve developed our own structured evaluation system that focuses on individual progress rather than comparison.
Levels assigned by other schools or instructors do not determine your placement at LBF.
We assess each dancer based on our own standards to ensure consistency, quality, and the best learning experience possible.

Our experienced and certified instructors guide you step by step, helping you build solid foundations, grow in confidence, and evolve at your own pace.
Quality, support, and growth are at the heart of everything we do.

During the trimester, it’s possible that your instructor approaches you and suggests moving to a higher or lower level for the next term to help you progress in the best way.
Our teachers are qualified professionals who also judge international competitions abroad, which strengthens their ability to evaluate each student accurately and fairly.

Please don’t take it personally if your assigned level doesn’t match what you expected — our instructors are here to guide you, not to criticize you.
Their goal is to help you learn better, faster, and with more confidence.

By registering at LBF Dance School, each participant agrees to this rule and acknowledges that placement decisions are made by our teaching team to ensure the best possible learning experience for everyone.

Now that you understand our approach, discover how our level system is structured below.

Level A1

After mastering the basics, this class helps you put everything together to create smooth and natural combinations that truly work on the social dance floor.
It’s the next step after A0
where technique meets flow.
This level is essential before moving to A2, as it develops your control, connection, and musical interpretation.

Level A2

This level is for students who have completed Level A1 and received their instructor’s approval to move up.
We focus on more complex movements, including body movement, musicality, footwork, and also expression in front of the camera, to help you develop confidence and a strong personal style on the dance floor.

Level A0

This class is ideal for
beginners and improvers.
It’s the starting point of our new evaluation system in Luxembourg, designed to build strong foundations.
Even if you've taken classes elsewhere, we ask that all new students begin at this level unless officially placed higher by one of our instructors.
